What date will GDPR rules be enforced?

GDPR rules kicked in on May 25, 2018. From that day on, any organization dealing with the personal data of EU citizens had to follow these strict new rules to protect privacy. This applies not just to companies in the EU but also to those outside if they’re selling to or monitoring people in the EU. After Brexit, the UK didn’t drop these standards but instead introduced the UK GDPR, which keeps up with the same principles to make sure data protection stays strong.
